...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR THE BIG ISLAND SUMMITS...

.An upper level trough west of the Hawaiian Islands will produce
layered middle and upper level clouds over the highest summits of
the Big Island through Monday afternoon. Expect periods of snow 
and icy roadways.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM HST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Snow, freezing drizzle and freezing fog. Storm total 
  snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches. Winds gusting up to 60 mph.

* WHERE...Big Island summits above 12,000 feet.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM HST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Snow showers and fog 
  will significantly reduce visibility at times, with periods of 
  zero visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities and use caution while
driving.
